Configuring Record Type Traceability Rules

What is the Record Type Traceability Rules Schema editor?

In TopTeam, Traceability is the technique of documenting derivations or dependency relationships between elements of a system. Traceability is defined by establishing Trace Links between system elements.

Record Type Traceability Rules in TopTeam, allows you to create custom Traceability Rules between different Record Types of the system.

You can access this editor from Administration > Configure System Record Types > Configure Record Type Traceability Rules. Refer to the image below.

When to use it?

If you want to create rules that should govern which record types can be traced to or from a record type based on your organizational needs, use this editor.
E.g. User Stories Traces Into Software Requirements.

You can add, view and delete Outgoing and Incoming Traceability Rules for the selected record type in this editor.
