Overview
Requirements defined in Word documents use numbered bullets, tables, paragraph styles, etc. to represent hierarchy and different requirement types. In the Import Requirements from Word wizard of TopTeam, you can choose an appropriate option for importing requirements depending on the format of your Word document.

This article helps you choose an appropriate option for importing requirements based on the format of the Word document that you may have. A link to a Sample Word Document is provided for each format.
Who should read this?

OPTION 1 – If your requirements are defined using different paragraph styles, as shown in the image below:
Then choose the "Identify Requirements based on Paragraph Style" option

OPTION 2 – If your requirements are defined using numbered bullets, as shown in the image below:
Then choose the "Identify Requirements based on Numbered Bullets" option

OPTION 3 – If your requirements are defined in tabular format, as shown in the image below:
Then choose the "Identify Requirements based on Columns" option

OPTION 4 – If your document does not support any of the formats above, however, it contains words (verbs) or phrases such as shall, should, must have, etc., as shown in the image below:
Then choose the "Identify Requirements based on Keywords and Phrases" option
