What is Configuring Application Profiles?

Configuring Application Profiles allow you to define and assign Application Profiles for individual users. In the Define Application Profiles editor, you can create new Application Profiles and assign it to an Author, a Collaborator or Viewer. You can also specify which navigation tabs, menu entries, etc. are visible to the users of a given profile.

When to use it?

Use the Configuring Application Profiles editor for creating user profile based on the user’s role. User profiles eliminate the need to set up the application’s environment for each individual user. You can create an environment for a particular role and have those settings available to all the individual users who are assigned to that role.
