Generating traceability report for a record using Multi-Level Traceability Report

Overview

One of the ways to view end-to-end traceability is by using Multi-Level Traceability Report. This report is used to determine how records of a certain Record Type have been traced throughout your system.
You can also get a visual depiction of end-to-end traceability using the Traceability Diagram interface. For more information, refer to the article Using Traceability Diagram.

This article describes the procedure to view end-to-end traceability from detail editor using Multi-Level Traceability Report.

Step 1. In Repository Explorer, open a record in its detail editor

NOTE: Use this report for impact analysis, i.e. to determine which artifacts further down the hierarchy need to be modified or tested when an artifact higher in the traceability hierarchy is modified

Another way to open Multi-Level Traceability Report is from Repository Explorer

You can also open it from Traceability Explorer editor of a record and clicking Run Trace Report.
