How to link an artifact to a Use Case

Overview

In Use Case Flow steps, you can create a link between a Use Case and an artifact. Links are mechanisms for referring to related information. You can create some links manually while other links are created automatically when you perform certain tasks.

For example, links are automatically created when you embed links in Requirements, Screen Mockups, Documents, etc. You might also manually create a link to a Use case. You can create links to any external resource that has a URL as well. Connect as many artifacts to a Use Case as you want.

This article describes the procedure to link an artifact to a Use Case record.

A Traceability Link is created between this record and the artifact which is linked to the record. You can view this traceability in the Traceability tab. The Traceability Link will be created only if the Traceability Rule is defined between the two record types, refer to the article Configuring Traceability Schema/Rules for Record Types.
