TopTeam<\/i> caches metadata at client side for better performance. TopTeam<\/i> automatically synchronizes this cache on each login, if it detects any changes in metadata.
\nYou might have to manually refresh this cache in the following scenarios:<\/p>\n

  • You want to refresh the cache without logging out of TopTeam Application Server<\/i>.<\/li>\n
  • Cache has gone out of sync in some rare scenarios.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    This article describes how to clear the cache of TopTeam Desktop App<\/i>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

      Option 1 – Clearing Cache using the gear icon menu<\/h3>\n
      \n

      This method does not need you to log out of TopTeam Server<\/i>. If you are logged out, you can still use this option.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

      \n

      Step 1. Select the Clear Cache option <\/h3>\n

      Step 2. Clear Cached Data<\/h3>\n

      Option 2 – Clearing the Cache by manual deletion of Cache files<\/h3>\n
      \n

      This option is suitable for older versions of TopTeam.<\/i>
      \nSometimes, TechnoSolutions Support may specifically request you to use this option.<\/p>\n

      Prerequisite<\/strong>: For this option to work you need to be logged into TopTeam Application Server<\/i>.
      \nIf you are not logged in, log into TopTeam Application Server<\/i>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

      \n

      Step 1. Open System Information from the Help menu<\/h3>\n

      Step 2. System Information window opens<\/h3>\n

      Step 3. Scroll down to User Folders<\/h3>\n

      Step 4. Open Works folder <\/h3>\n

      TopTeam Desktop App <\/i>creates this folder on login. This folder is used to store the cache files and doesn’t contain any Project or User data.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

      Step 5. Close System Information<\/h3>\n

      Click Close<\/strong><\/i> <\/strong>to close the System Information<\/i> window.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

      Step 6. Close TopTeam Desktop App<\/h3>\n

      Step 7. Delete contents of the Works folder<\/h3>\n

      Delete all the files in the Works folder. This folder does not have any Project or User data.<\/p>\n

      This will clear the local cache of TopTeam Desktop App.<\/i><\/p>\n

      NOTE<\/strong>: TopTeam Web<\/i> does not cache metadata.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
