Ensure that your Team Explorer version is compatible with TFS you are connecting to.<\/li>\n<li>For Visual Studio 2015 or higher, required TFS client assemblies are installed when you install VSTS Connector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2. Typical URL format for connecting <em>TopTeam VSTS Connector<\/em> to &#8220;Team Services&#8221; is <strong>https:\/\/&lt;accountname&gt;.visualstudio.com. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>E.g. https:\/\/myacmecompany.visualstudio.com<\/p>\n<h3><a id=\"post-6245-Step7\"><\/a>What are the prerequisites for connecting TopTeam VSTS Connector to TopTeam Application Server?<\/h3>\n<p><em>TopTeam VSTS Connector<\/em> accesses TopTeam repository data through <em>TopTeam Application Server<\/em> via HTTP\/HTTPS or TCP\/IP protocols.<\/p>\n<h4>Prerequisites for connecting via HTTP\/HTTPS Protocol:<\/h4>\n<p>1. TopTeamHttp.dll is installed and configured on <em>IIS Web Server.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>2. TopTeam VSTS Connector<\/em> can access IIS Server via HTTP\/HTTPS protocol.<\/p>\n<p>3. Ensure that the firewall on your network or on the computer where <em>TopTeam VSTS Connector<\/em> is installed, is not blocking the HTTP\/HTTPS access to <em>IIS Server.<\/em><\/p>\n<h4>Prerequisites for connecting via TCP\/IP Protocol:<\/h4>\n<p>1. Ensure that <em>TopTeam VSTS Connector <\/em>has access to <em>TopTeam Application Server<\/em> via TCP\/IP protocol on the specified port number.<\/p>\n<p>2. Ensure that the firewall on your network or on the computer where <em>TopTeam VSTS Connector <\/em>is installed, is not blocking the access to <em>TopTeam Application Server.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><a id=\"post-6245-Step15\"><\/a>IMPORTANT<\/h3>\n<p><em>Microsoft Visual Studio Team Services<\/em> (Cloud) does not support the API call required to create custom <em>Work Item Types (WITs)<\/em>.
