Prerequisites<\/h3>\n\n\n- TopTeam Application Server<\/i> is installed as a Windows Service. If not, please install TopTeam Application Server<\/i> as a Windows Service by referring to the article Installing TopTeam Application Server as a Windows Service.<\/a><\/li>\n
- You need to log in as a Windows Administrator, on the computer on which TopTeam Application Server<\/i> is installed. Windows Administrator privileges are required to start and stop TopTeam Application Server’s Windows Service. <\/li>\n
- You should know the LDAP server URL of your organization.<\/li>\n
- Verify that you are able to connect to LDAP server (<\/i>Active Directory) using ADSI tools such as ADExplorer<\/a> from Microsoft, from the computer on which TopTeam Application Server<\/i> is installed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

\nFor example, let’s say LDAP server is running on a computer named ldapserver<\/i> in domain companyname.com.<\/i>
\nThe following are the acceptable formats for LDAP server URL:<\/p>\n\n- LDAP:\/\/DC=ldapserver,DC=companyname,DC=lan<\/li>\n
- LDAP:\/\/ldapserver\/DC=companyname,DC=lan<\/li>\n
- LDAP:\/\/ ldapserver.companyname.lan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
NOTE:<\/strong> LDAP must be in uppercase.<\/p>\n2. Check Use SSL<\/strong><\/i>, <\/strong>to make LDAP authentication secure.<\/p>\n3. Enter your LDAP server’s Domain<\/strong> <\/i>name (optional).
\nDomain name is required if the computers on which TopTeam Application Server and<\/i> LDAP server<\/i> are running are on different domains.<\/p>\n4. Click Test LDAP Connectivity<\/strong><\/i> to verify the LDAP connection.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\nStep 4. Verify LDAP Settings<\/h3>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n1. Choose the authentication type.
\nYou can either choose Use<\/strong> current Windows credentials<\/strong><\/i> to login or Supply LDAP login credentials<\/strong><\/i> <\/strong>to <\/strong>explicitly provide LDAP login credentials.<\/p>\nIf you choose to explicitly provide LDAP login credentials, edit boxes for Username<\/i> and Password<\/i> will be enabled.
\nEnter LDAP Username and Password.<\/p>\n
2. Click OK<\/strong><\/i> to test the LDAP connectivity.<\/p>\nSystem will show a message whether the connectivity test was successful.<\/p>\n
If the test fails, verify whether LDAP server<\/i> URL and Domain name are correct. Try connecting to the LDAP server<\/i> with the same URL using ADSI tools such as ADExplorer<\/a> from Microsoft.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\nStep 5.
