Data will be synchronized based on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.technosolutions.com\/kb\/51341\/defining-a-topteam-jira-synchronization-scheme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Synchronization Scheme<\/a> selected in that <em>Project Mapping<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Once the <em>Project Mapping <\/em>is created, it will start synchronizing data based on the schedule set in the <em>Project Mapping.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In this topic, you will learn how to create <em>TopTeam &#8211; Jira Project Mapping<\/em> and run this mapping to synchronize data between <em>TopTeam<\/em> and <em>Jira<\/em>.<\/p>\n<h3>Prerequisites<\/h3>\n<p>You must be <strong>System Administrator<\/strong> or have the<strong> Manage Jira Project Mappings<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>permission to configure Project Mappings and synchronize records. Click Configure Project Mapping<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-51419\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"http:\/\/www.technosolutions.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/word-image-51406-4.png\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Configure Project Mapping screen opens<\/h3>\n<p>Let\u2019s understand the user interface.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-51420\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"http:\/\/www.technosolutions.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/c-users-admin-appdata-local-temp-snaghtml29fe3577.png\" alt=\"C:\\Users\\admin\\AppData\\Local\\Temp\\SNAGHTML29fe3577.PNG\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Gear icon actions of a <em>Project Mapping<\/em> are explained below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Edit<\/strong>: This action lets you <em>Edit<\/em> an existing <em>Project Mapping<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Delete: <\/strong>This action lets you <em>Delete <\/em>an existing <em>Project Mapping<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Enable\/Disable:<\/strong> This action lets you <em>Enable\/Disable<\/em> a <em>Project Mapping<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Enable: <\/strong>Enabling a <em>Project Mapping<\/em> will start syncing data after 5 minutes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Disable:<\/strong> Disabling a <em>Project Mapping<\/em> will stop syncing data thereafter until and unless you enable it.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Run Now: <\/strong>This action lets you <em>Run<\/em> the <em>Project Mapping<\/em> on an adhoc basis in a short interval of time, independent of a predefined schedule.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><strong>Download Last Run Report: <\/strong>This action lets you <em>Download<\/em> the last run synchronization report.<\/li>\n<li><strong>View Synchronization History:<\/strong> This action lets you view synchronization history.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Step 5. Specify Token if Jira server is on cloud.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to generate Jira API token:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Log in to <a href=\"https:\/\/id.atlassian.com\/manage\/api-tokens\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/id.atlassian.com\/manage\/api-tokens<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Create API token<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>From the pop-up screen that appears, enter a memorable and concise <strong>Label<\/strong> for your token and click <strong>Create<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Use <strong>Copy to clipboard<\/strong> and <strong>paste the token<\/strong> into the <strong>Password\/Token<\/strong> field.<\/li>\n<li>Keep the token so that you can use it multiple times.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This connection information is not stored, instead, it is utilized for fetching issue types, fields, and link types to assist in mapping.<\/p>\n<h3>Step 7. Specify Synchronization Schedule<\/h3>\n<p>There are two types of triggers available to synchronize the data, namely <strong>Continuous Synchronization<\/strong> and <strong>Once Daily<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Continuous Synchronization: <\/strong>Select this trigger to synchronize data continuously in a specified interval.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Once Daily:<\/strong> Select this trigger if you want to synchronize data at a specific time daily.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p><strong>NOTE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-51428\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"http:\/\/www.technosolutions.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/note_48-png-4.png\" alt=\"note_48.png\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<p>For <em>TopTeam Cloud<\/em>, by default, the trigger is set to <strong>Continuous Synchronization <\/strong>mode.
