When evaluating <i>TopTeam,<\/i> you can even install <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> on a laptop, however, for production usage you should use a desktop or a server class computer.<\/p>\n<p>We recommend you to install <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> on the latest Windows Server computer.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Do you need to have Windows Administrator privileges to install TopTeam Application Server?<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>To install <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> as a Windows Service, you should log into the computer as a Windows Administrator. You do not require Windows Administrator privileges if you want to run <i>TopTeam Application Server <\/i>as a Windows Application.<\/p>\n<p>We however recommend you to install <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> as a Windows Service for production usage.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Does one need to purchase a license to install and use TopTeam Application Server?<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>You do not need to purchase a license upfront to install and evaluate <i>TopTeam<\/i>. By default,<i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> will start in an evaluation mode if you do not provide a valid license key.<br \/>\nUpon expiration of the evaluation period, <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> will stop running.<\/p>\n<p>To continue using <i>TopTeam,<\/i> you need to purchase a permanent license key or contact TechnoSolutions sales representative for an extension key.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Preparations<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<ul>\n<li>Download the latest <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> installer from the <a href=\"https:\/\/customerportal.technosolutions.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TechnoSolutions Customer Portal<\/a> (access to Customer Portal is available only to licensed customers) or use the download link provided by TechnoSolutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The installer file name format is: TopTeamIBServerEmbLic_Installer_<strong>&lt;<i>TopTeam Application Server Version<\/i>&gt;<\/strong>_DB_<strong>&lt;<i>TopTeam Database Schema Version Required<\/i>&gt;_&lt;<i>Release Date<\/i>&gt;<\/strong>.exe<\/p>\n<p>e.g. TopTeamIBServerEmbLic_Installer_5.0_DB_8.0_31Jul14.exe<\/p>\n<p>In the example above:<br \/>\n5.0 \u2013 is the version number of <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i><br \/>\n8.0 \u2013 is the <i>TopTeam database<\/i> version which will be installed by this installer<br \/>\n31Jul14 \u2013 is the release date of this <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Prerequisites<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that the computer you have selected for installing <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> meets the system requirements. Ensure that you have READ and WRITE permissions on this folder. <\/span>We recommend you to keep at least 2 GB of free disk space on the drive where you install <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> for log files that are created while you run the application.<\/p>\n<p>Default Folder: <i>C:\\Program Files\\TechnoSolutions TopTeam\\Application Server for Embedded DB.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>You can easily change this location anytime in the future.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Step 6. Ensure that you have READ and WRITE permissions on this folder. The size of the <i>TopTeam<\/i> database files grows over a period of time as you add records to the repository. <\/span><br \/>\nWe recommend you to keep at least 2 GB of free disk space on the drive where you install the <i>TopTeam<\/i> Database files.<\/p>\n<p>Default Folder: C:\\Program Files\\TechnoSolutions TopTeam\\TopTeam Database Files<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">You can easily change this location anytime in the future.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Step 7. You must be logged in as a Windows Administrator for this.<\/p>\n<p>2. <strong>Install as <i>Application<\/i><\/strong><br \/>\nChoose this option to install <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> as a Windows Application. Use this option if you do not have Windows Administrator privileges on the computer and want to evaluate <i>TopTeam.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>We recommend you to go with option 1 unless you don\u2019t have Windows Administrator privileges on this computer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You can always change this configuration setting later.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Step 8.
