TopTeam<\/em> supports three types of authentication i.e. Native, External <\/em>and LDAP.<\/em><\/p>\n In Native <\/em>authentication, user’s credentials (user login name and password) are saved in TopTeam repository<\/em> and then user authentication is performed locally.<\/p>\n External Authentication<\/em> allows you to authenticate TopTeam<\/em> users with an External Authentication<\/em> provider such as AD FS<\/em> using SAML<\/em>.<\/p>\n However, in LDAP <\/em>authentication, you need to first import User Accounts<\/em> from your Active Directory<\/em> to TopTeam repository<\/em> using LDAP wizard<\/em>. The wizard will import User Accounts<\/em> with information such as Username, First Name, Last Name, Description, etc. from your Active Directory<\/em> using LDAP<\/em> protocol and mark its authentication type in TopTeam repository<\/em> as LDAP<\/em>. Please note that user’s password is not imported during the import process. When user logs into TopTeam repository<\/em>, system connects and authenticates the user using LDAP a<\/em>uthentication.<\/p>\n LDAP <\/em>authentication is a prerequisite for Single Sign-on<\/em> (SSO).<\/p>\n In order to achieve LDAP <\/em>authentication, you must perform the following steps:<\/p>\n 1. Configure LDAP s<\/em>erver connection settings on TopTeam Application Server<\/em> or TopTeam Web Server. <\/em><\/p>\n 2. Import User Accounts<\/em> from LDAP<\/em> server<\/em> into TopTeam repository.<\/em><\/p>\n 3.
