Download the required installer for <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> from the <a href=\"https:\/\/customerportal.technosolutions.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TechnoSolutions Customer Portal<\/a> (<span style=\"color: #000000;\">access to Customer Portal is available only to licensed customers<\/span>) or by the link provided to you from TechnoSolutions support or sales.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Process Overview<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>Follow these steps to upgrade <i>TopTeam Application Server:<\/i><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Verify whether or not <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> that you have downloaded is compatible with your current TopTeam database schema version.<\/li>\n<li>Stop <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> if running.<\/li>\n<li>Run the installer for the new<i> TopTeam Application Server<\/i>.<\/li>\n<li>Restart <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Step 1. Verify whether or not TopTeam Application Server that you have downloaded is compatible with your current TopTeam Database Schema<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Step 1.1. Find the current version of TopTeam Database Schema installed in your computer<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>If <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> is not running and you have just upgraded <i>TopTeam Database Schema,<\/i> refer to step 1.1.1. to identify the current<i> TopTeam Database Schema<\/i> version.<\/p>\n<p>In all other cases, refer to the article <a href=\"http:\/\/www.technosolutions.com\/kb\/323\/how-to-find-out-topteam-database-schema-version\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">How to find TopTeam Database Schema Version<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Step 1.1.1. Find the version number of TopTeam Database Schema from the TopTeam Database Schema Upgrade installer<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>You can find the version of <i>TopTeam Database Schema<\/i> from the <i>TopTeam Database Schema Upgrade installer <\/i>that you used to upgrade <i>TopTeam Database Schema<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>The name of the installer is in the format: <strong>TopTeam<i>&lt;&lt;Database Name&gt;&gt;<\/i>DBSchemaUpgrade_2.9_to_<i>&lt;New Db Schema Version&gt;&gt;<\/i>_<i>&lt;&lt;Release Date&gt;&gt;<\/i>.exe<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>E.g.<strong> TopTeamSQLServerDbSchemaUpgrade_2.9_to_8.0_24Jan14.exe<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the above example,<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>SQL<\/strong> indicates that this installer is for the SQL Server Database. Other possible values are <strong>IB<\/strong> for <strong>Firebird<\/strong> and <strong>Ora<\/strong> for <strong>Oracle<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>24Jan14<\/strong> is the release date of this database schema upgrade installer.<\/li>\n<li><strong>8.0<\/strong> is the version number of new <i>TopTeam Database Schema<\/i>. You will need this number to continue.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Step 1.2. Verify whether or not the new TopTeam Application Server is compatible with TopTeam Database Schema currently installed<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>You can find out the compatible <i>TopTeam Database Schema<\/i> version of new <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> from the name of the installer.<\/p>\n<p>The installer file name is in the following format:<\/p>\n<p>TopTeam<strong>&lt;&lt;Database&gt;&gt;<\/strong>Server<strong>&lt;Emb&gt;<\/strong>Lic_Installer_<i>&lt;&lt;Application Server Version Number&gt;&gt;<\/i>_DB<strong>&lt;&lt;MinDb&gt;&gt;_DDMONYY<\/strong>.exe<\/p>\n<p>e.g.<strong> TopTeamSQLServerLic_Installer_5.20_DB8.0_31Jul14.zip<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the above example,<\/p>\n<p><strong>SQL <\/strong>indicates that this <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> is for SQL Server Database. Other possible values are <strong>IB<\/strong> for <strong>Firebird<\/strong> and <strong>Ora<\/strong> for <strong>Oracle <\/strong>database.<\/p>\n<p>In the case of an <strong>Embedded Firebird <\/strong>database, an additional text &#8220;<strong>Emb<\/strong>&#8221; is inserted between the text &#8220;<strong>Server<\/strong>&#8221; and &#8220;<strong>Lic<\/strong>&#8221; in the installer name.<\/p>\n<p>E.g. <strong>TopTeamIBServerEmbLic_Installer_5.20_DB8.0_31Jul14.zip<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>IMPORTANT<\/strong>: If the database type of the installer is different from the database installed in your organization, you have downloaded an incorrect installer. Download the correct installer and try again.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>5.20<\/strong> is the version number of the new <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i><\/li>\n<li><strong>31Jul14<\/strong> is the release date of the new <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i><\/li>\n<li><strong>DB8.0<\/strong> is the minimum database schema version required to run the new <i>TopTeam Application Server.<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>If the <i>TopTeam Database Schema<\/i> version that is currently installed in your organization is less than the <i>TopTeam Database Schema<\/i> version required for the new <i>TopTeam Application Server,<\/i> upgrade the <i>TopTeam Database Schema<\/i> version first, and then upgrade <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Step 2.
