This is required to install <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> as a Windows Service.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size:20px;\">Step 1. Start TopTeam Server Configuration Wizard<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p><strong>First Time Installation:<\/strong><br \/>\n<i>TopTeam Server Configuration Wizard<\/i> will automatically start after the first installation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Manually starting the Wizard:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.technosolutions.com\/kb\/529\/how-to-run-management-console-for-topteam-application-server\/\" target=\"_blank\">How to run Management Console for TopTeam Application Server.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Go to the <i><strong>Help<\/strong><\/i> tab.<\/li>\n<li>Click the <i><strong>Click to start Application Server Configuration Wizard<\/strong><\/i> button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If this button is disabled, ensure the following:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>If <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> is running as a Windows Application, shut down <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> completely.<\/li>\n<li>If<i> TopTeam Application Server<\/i> is installed as a Windows Service, stop <i>TopTeam Application Service<\/i>, if already running.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size:20px;\">Step 2. Specify the <i><strong>Name<\/strong><\/i> for your TopTeam Application Server. It will help you identify the server you are connected to in multiple server deployments.<\/p>\n<p>2. Specify <i><strong>Port<\/strong><\/i> on which <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> should listen to.<br \/>\nPort number must be unique and not be shared with any other applications.<\/p>\n<p><strong>IMPORTANT: <\/strong>Ensure that the <i>Port<\/i> number on which <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> will listen to is not blocked by a firewall or any other similar application.<br \/>\nConsult and confirm with your IT Support or Network Administrators.<\/p>\n<p>3. Click <i><strong>Next<\/strong><\/i> to proceed.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size:20px;\">Step 4. Specify Database Connection Settings<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>Specify settings for connecting to <i>TopTeam Database Schema.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>This page will be different for Firebird, Oracle and SQL Server databases.<br \/>\nIf <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> is running on the same computer, Management Console will automatically pickup the database settings.<\/p>\n<p>Refer one of the steps below based on the database server you are using.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size:20px;\">Firebird Database Connection Settings<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepImage\" style=\"margin:10px 0px;\">\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"padding:3px; border: 1px solid #ccc;\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"http:\/\/www.technosolutions.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/wpid20005-media_1281619889353.png\" width=\"568\" height=\"474\" alt=\"wpid20005-media_1281619889353.png\" \/>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>1. Specify <i><strong>Database Connection Settings<\/strong><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Specify <i><strong>Database<\/strong> <strong>User Name<\/strong> and <strong>Password<\/strong>. <\/i>By default, Firebird engine shipped with the <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> installer has username as <i><strong>sysdba<\/strong><\/i> and password as <i><strong>masterkey<\/strong><\/i>. If you have changed the database password while installation, specify the new database password.<\/li>\n<li>Choose <i>TopTeam User Database. <\/i>There are usually  two <i>TopTeam<\/i> databases installed during installation. These are <i>TopTeam User Database<\/i> and <i>TopTeam Sample Database<\/i>. You need to select alias of <i>TopTeam User Database<\/i> from the drop-down list box.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If <i>TopTeam database<\/i> was installed on the same computer on which <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> is installed, <i>TopTeam Application Server Configuration Wizard<\/i> will automatically pickup up the correct database.<br \/>\nIf the drop-down list does not show any database, click <i>Define&#8230;<\/i> to specify the path of <i>TopTeam User Database<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>2. Click<i> <strong>Test Connection<\/strong> <\/i>to verify the connectivity to database using the connection settings specified.<br \/>\nIf database connection test fails, please re-verify the database connection settings.<\/p>\n<p>3. Specify <i><strong>Database Connection Settings<\/strong><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Specify Oracle<strong> <\/strong>Database <strong>Username<\/strong> and <strong>Password<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Choose the <strong>Oracle<\/strong> <strong>Database<\/strong> <strong>Server<\/strong>. If the <i>Database<\/i> <i>drop-down list<\/i> does not have the database name you are looking for, you can directly enter the name of the database.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Consult your Database Administrator to get the above information.<\/p>\n<p>2. Click <i><strong>Test Connection<\/strong><\/i> to verify the connection to Oracle database using the credentials specified in this page.<\/p>\n<p>If database connection test fails, please re-verify the database connection settings.<br \/>\nVerify that you are able to connect to the <i>TopTeam database schema<\/i> using the same database connection settings from this computer, through other oracle utilities such as <strong>SQL* Plus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>3. Click <i><strong>Next<\/strong><\/i> to proceed.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size:20px;\">SQL Server Database Connection Settings<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepImage\" style=\"margin:10px 0px;\">\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"padding:3px; border: 1px solid #ccc;\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"http:\/\/www.technosolutions.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/wpid20007-media_1281696119439.png\" width=\"568\" height=\"475\" alt=\"wpid20007-media_1281696119439.png\" \/>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>1. Specify <i><strong>Database Connection Settings<\/strong><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Specify whether you want to use SQL Server&#8217;s<i> Native Authentication<\/i> or <i>Windows Authentication<\/i> for connecting to database. We recommend that you use <i>Native Authentication<\/i>. <\/li>\n<li>Specify the Database <i><strong>Username<\/strong><\/i> and <i><strong>Password<\/strong>. <\/i>This is not required if you are using Windows Authentication.<\/li>\n<li>Specify the name of the <i><strong>TopTeam User Database<\/strong>.<\/i><\/li>\n<li>Specify the <i><strong>SQL Server<\/strong><\/i> instance to use. <\/li>\n<li>Click <i><strong>Populate Servers<\/strong><\/i> to load all the SQL Server instances available on your local network. If you are not finding the required SQL Server instance, you can directly enter the name of the SQL Server instance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2. Click <i><strong>Test Connection<\/strong><\/i> to verify the database connection using the connection settings specified on this page.<\/p>\n<p>If database connection test fails, please re-verify the database connection settings.<br \/>\nVerify that using the same database settings you are able to connect to the <i>TopTeam database<\/i> from this computer, using utilities such as <i>SQL Management Studio<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>3. Click <i><strong>Next<\/strong><\/i> to proceed.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size:20px;\">IMPORTANT: If you have decided to use Windows Authentication to connect to SQL Server<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>If you want to use <i>Windows Authentication<\/i> ensure that the System User of the computer on which <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> is running can connect to the <i>TopTeam Database<\/i>. This is because when<i> TopTeam Application Server<\/i> runs as a Windows Service, it runs using credentials of the <i>System User<\/i> of this computer. <\/p>\n<p>Clicking <i>Test Connection<\/i> will verify the connection settings using the credentials of logged in Windows User. A successful connection does not guarantee that <i>TopTeam Application Server Service<\/i> will also be able to connect to the SQL Server. We recommend you to consult your database administrator and ensure that the System User of computer on which <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> has been installed has access to <i>TopTeam Databases<\/i> on SQL Server.<\/p>\n<p>You can also change the <i>Windows User<\/i> credentials that should be used to run <i>TopTeam Application Server Servic<\/i>e using <i>Windows Service Manager<\/i>. This topic is not in the scope of this article.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size:20px;\">Step 5. Specify User Data Files Folder Settings<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepImage\" style=\"margin:10px 0px;\">\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"padding:3px; border: 1px solid #ccc;\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"http:\/\/www.technosolutions.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/wpid20008-media_1281696797717.png\" width=\"571\" height=\"477\" alt=\"wpid20008-media_1281696797717.png\" \/>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>Specify the folder in which the Application Server should store all the <i><strong>User Data Files<\/strong><\/i> such as Attachments, Documents, Doc Processor Templates, etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>IMPORTANT:<\/strong> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that there is enough disk space to store files are per your usage. If you are evaluating <i>TopTeam,<\/i> you can start with 100 MB of free disk space. For production usage, we recommend you to have at least 500 MB of free disk space for storing <i>User Data files<\/i>. You can change this setting any time in future by moving the entire folder to another location.<\/li>\n<li>If you have selected a folder on a shared or network drive, ensure that this folder is always accessible to <i>TopTeam Application Server Windows Service<\/i>. When <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> runs as a <i>Windows Service<\/i>, it runs using credentials of the <i>System User <\/i>of computer on which <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> is installed. You can change credentials of <i>Windows User<\/i> used to run <i>TopTeam Application Service<\/i> using <i>Windows Service Manager<\/i>.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the <i>Windows User<\/i> whose credentials will be used to run <i>TopTeam Application Server Service<\/i> has READ and WRITE permissions on the <i>User Data files<\/i> folder.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size:20px;\">Step 6. Notification Email Sender Settings (optional)<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepImage\" style=\"margin:10px 0px;\">\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"padding:3px; border: 1px solid #ccc;\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"http:\/\/www.technosolutions.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/wpid20009-media_1281698714204.png\" width=\"569\" height=\"477\" alt=\"wpid20009-media_1281698714204.png\" \/>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>This page allows you to configure <i>TopTeam Email Sender Service <\/i>for receiving emails whenever a <i>TopTeam<\/i> user or the system sends notifications<i>.<\/i> <br \/>\nSettings on this page are optional. You can also configure this later anytime.<\/p>\n<p>1. Specify <i><strong>SMTP Server Name or IP Address<\/strong><\/i> of your corporate mail server.<\/p>\n<p>2. Specify the <i><strong>SMTP Port<\/strong><\/i> to be used for connecting to SMTP Server. Default is 25.<\/p>\n<p>3. Enter email address of TopTeam Administrator in <i><strong>System &#8211; From Email Address.<\/strong><\/i><br \/>\n<i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> will send alert emails to this email address in case of any critical failures such as connection with database is broken, etc.<\/p>\n<p>4. Click <i><strong>Next<\/strong><\/i> to proceed.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size:20px;\">Step 7.
