What is Compare Versions?<\/h3>\n\nCompare Versions <\/i>lets you compare two versions of a record of any record type to analyze differences between them. Using Compare Versions<\/i> you can easily identify any additions, modifications or deletions that were made to a record.<\/p>\n
Differences are highlighted by color, depending on the type of change.
\nDefault colors used for understanding differences are:<\/p>\n
\n- Red<\/font> color indicates that the content was deleted.<\/li>\n
- Blue<\/font> color indicates that the content was added.<\/li>\n
- Green<\/font> color indicates that the content was modified.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
You can view differences for either all fields of a record or only the fields that have differences.<\/p>\n
You can view comparison result in the following two views:<\/p>\n
\n- Merged<\/i> view where both versions of a record are displayed in a single view with the original content and changed content displayed next to each other. Each row represents a field for which the differences are displayed.<\/li>\n
- Split view<\/i> where both versions of a record are displayed in two columns i.e. side-by-side. Each row represents a field for which the differences are displayed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
