To identify whether <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> is installed as a <i>Windows Service<\/i>, refer to the article <a href=\"http:\/\/www.technosolutions.com\/kb\/523\/determining-whether-topteam-application-server-installed-as-a-windows-application-or-as-a-windows-service\/\" target=\"_blank\">Determining whether TopTeam Application Server installed as a Windows Application or as Windows Service<\/a>. Run Management Console for TopTeam Application Server<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>Refer to the article <a href=\"http:\/\/www.technosolutions.com\/kb\/529\/how-to-run-management-console-for-topteam-application-server\/\" target=\"_blank\">How to run Management Console for TopTeam Application Server.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size:20px;\">Step 2. Stop TopTeam Application Server (if running)<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>Refer to the article <a href=\"http:\/\/www.technosolutions.com\/kb\/342\/how-to-start-and-stop-topteam-application-server-service-using-management-console\/\" target=\"_blank\">How to start and stop TopTeam Application Server Service using Management Console.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size:20px;\">Step 3. Enter <i><strong>Server Name<\/strong><\/i><strong> <\/strong>to identify <i>TopTeam Application Server. <\/i>This helps to identify the server from the client applications in case there are more than one <i>TopTeam Application Servers<\/i> deployed in your organization. By default, the <i><strong>Computer Name<\/strong><\/i><strong> <\/strong>is used as the<i> Server Name<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>2. Choose the <i><strong>IP Address<\/strong><\/i> on which <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> will listen for incoming <i>TopTeam<\/i> client application connections. <\/p>\n<p>If the computer on which <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> is installed has multiple IP addresses, you can choose to listen on a single specific <i>IP Address<\/i> by selecting a value from the drop-down list.<br \/>\nIf you want to listen on all <i>IP Addresses<\/i> that has been assigned to the computer, select <i><strong>Listen on All IP Addresses<\/strong><\/i> from the drop-down list.<\/p>\n<p>By default, <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> listens on all <i>IP addresses<\/i> assigned to the computer.<\/p>\n<p>3. Enter the <i>Port number<\/i> on which <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> should listen for incoming requests from <i>TopTeam<\/i> client applications.<br \/>\nEnter a value from 1 to 65535. By default, <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> listens on port 7100.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BEFORE you change the <i>Port number<\/i>,<\/strong> ensure the following aspects:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The new port that you wish to use is not in use by some other applications on this computer.<\/li>\n<li>TCP\/IP requests to the new port is not being blocked by any firewall either on this computer or on your network.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size:20px;\">Configure Network Settings &#8211; II<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepImage\" style=\"margin:10px 0px;\">\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"padding:3px; border: 1px solid #ccc;\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"http:\/\/www.technosolutions.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/media_1438608667300-1.png\" width=\"800\" height=\"319\" alt=\"media_1438608667300-1.png\" \/>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>1. Check <i><strong>Compress Data<\/strong><\/i><strong> <\/strong>option to compress the data that is exchanged between <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> and <i>TopTeam<\/i> client applications.<br \/>\nBy default, this option is ON. We recommend that you keep this option ON for better performance.<\/p>\n<p>2. Enter <i><strong>Re-login Grace Period<\/strong><\/i> <br \/>\n<i>Re-login Grace Period<\/i> is the time in minutes till which the <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> will hold a client&#8217;s session if it gets disconnected abnormally due to network failure. If a user gets disconnected abnormally due to network failure, the user must re-login within the <i>Re-login Grace Period<\/i> to reclaim the session on <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i>. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size:20px;\">Step 5. Configure User Data Files folder path<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepImage\" style=\"margin:10px 0px;\">\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"padding:3px; border: 1px solid #ccc;\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"http:\/\/www.technosolutions.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/media_1584096800140-1.png\" width=\"788\" height=\"114\" alt=\"media_1584096800140-1.png\" \/>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>Enter the <i><strong>User Data Files Folder<\/strong><\/i> path directly or click the [<strong>&#8230;<\/strong>] button to select a folder in which <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> should store documents and attachments. <\/p>\n<p>By default, <i>User Data files<\/i> are stored in a sub folder &#8220;<strong>User Data Files<\/strong>&#8221; of the installation folder of <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NOTE<\/strong>: BEFORE changing the folder path, consider the following aspects:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that the new folder has sufficient disk space to save attachments and documents based on your usage.<\/li>\n<li>If you want to store the <i>User Data Files<\/i> on a network drive, ensure that the network folder is always accessible from the computer on which <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> is installed.<\/li>\n<li>Usually all <i>Windows Services<\/i> run under the credentials of the <i>System User<\/i> of that computer. If new <i>User Data Files folder<\/i> is on a network drive, ensure that the <i>System User<\/i> of this computer has <i><strong>Read<\/strong><\/i> and <i><strong>Write<\/strong><\/i> permissions on the new <i>User Data Files<\/i> folder. Usually the <i>System User<\/i> has permissions to <i>Read<\/i> and <i>Write<\/i> on all the folders of the computer, however, this might not be true in case the folder is on a network drive. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size:20px;\">Step 6. Apply the settings<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepImage\" style=\"margin:10px 0px;\">\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"padding:3px; border: 1px solid #ccc;\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"http:\/\/www.technosolutions.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/media_1584096819779-1.png\" width=\"609\" height=\"185\" alt=\"media_1584096819779-1.png\" \/>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size:20px;\">IMPORTANT: If you have changed the User Data Files folder path<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>All the documents and attachments that were added previous to this change are still stored in the old <i>User Data Files<\/i> folder. You need to manually move the contents of the <i><strong>old User Data Files<\/strong> <strong>folder<\/strong><\/i> to the <i><strong>new<\/strong> <strong>User Data Files folder<\/strong><\/i> using File Copy and Paste technique. This step is mandatory if you have changed the <i>User Data Files<\/i> folder path.<\/p>\n<p>Ignore this directive if this change is performed as a part of the initial configuration of <i>TopTeam Application Server<\/i> before it is run for the first time.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\" style=\"font-size:20px;\">Step 7.
